Beautiful flyer; now what the HELL were the Sparks playing with Dntel for?
Beachwood Sparks – “Drinkswater” MP3/download
“Drinkswater” is easily my favorite Beachwood Sparks tune, but it’s so much more.
It’s one of the songs my wife and I fell in love to; it’s one of the first tunes I acquired on vinyl (via the Make the Cowboy Robots Cry EP); hell, I even yelled out the name of the EP from whence it came at the Sparks’ show at the Sub Pop reunion festival — where Beachwood Sparks reunited and then seemingly disappeared — to which the frontman replied, “I dunno, I think they might rust.” (Get it?)
If you can listen to the sunflower flourishes of “Drinkswater” and remain unmoved you must either be deaf, uninterested in music or one of those kids who’s heard WAY too many free MP3s in his/her day. In any event, I feel sorry for you if this tune doesn’t butter your bread and evenly crisp your toast.
