Emily Reo – “On the Beach” MP3/download
“On the Beach” reminds me of hearing Beach House for the first time — and not because of the title of the song. Emily Reo has that easy-going, sand-in-yr-sandals sound that hazily drifts by like a half-remembered bonfire party wherein you smooched with someone you never saw again or committed a crime against humanity and got away with it.
Or not; these aren’t hard-and-fast rules here. What I do know is this Reo lass has friends in all the right places (Craft Spells among them) and a nice milieu equal parts Phantogram and, as you might have guessed by now, Beach House. WELL WHOOPTY FREAKIN’ DOO!!
Good stuff and perhaps even better than “Love Well Spent” …
