Juliette Commagere – “Impact” (Keepaway remix) MP3/download
Download three FREE (though donating would be nice of you) EPs from hip-hoppers Pretty Lights HERE!!

Now that I see this photo I wonder if I'll dig Juliette Commagere's music as much as I dig her body (wife notwithstanding). Then again, since I posted this MP3 without listening to it first I can't really complain. She's almost too hot to be good though, know what I mean? Extra points for keytarin' it up though ...
Boy, Juliette Commagere and Pretty Lights (and, I guess, Keepaway) really bailed me out on this one. Here I was, all ready to forego putting up a new post for Friday (Oct. 29, right?) due to overwhelming stress and a lack of sleep — yep, another insomniac writer cloudying up yr day — and PLOP-FIZZ-SMASH!!!
I found Commagere’s “Impact” all hot for postin’ and several free P. Lights EPs to direct you to; 1 a.m. and all is, now, well.
Whew! (Wipe sweat from brow, dry face with bottom of shirt, exposing belly.) That was … that was close.
Honestly I don’t even have time to preview these babies for ya, but I do know that Pretty Lights play in Fort Collins a lot (Denver? They’ve gotta be from D-ver) and that Keepaway are rad artists and probably fair remix-ers too.
Back to insomnia: I’m currently taking Ambien and wondering what to substitute when it runs out between prescriptions. I took four allergy-relief pills that, so said the lady at a pharmacy in Estes Park, contained the same ingredient fueling most sleeping pills.
I repeat: I took FOUR of those bad boys, and nothin’, zippo, el-negativo; what’s the deal? I remember getting pills at Safeway in New York that were 10 times better when I took, like, ONE, maybe TWO if I had a particularly grueling copy-editing shift. What happened? What are the sleepless hordes to do? I tried drinking a few beers earlier this week and, as my doctor warned, that seemed to make the problem worse. Driving through the cruel Wyoming wind and blinking just to keep my eyes open on 3 hours of sleep is not my idea of a pah-tay, let’s just say.
Worst of all, I can’t ever seem to parlay my Zzz-free nights into getting loads of extra work done. I normally end up TRYing to drift off to a movie — Pineapple Express, Year One, South Park, etc. — and failing.
It reminds me of high school. I’d watch Leno (for the “Headlines” skit mostly, which actually featured the front page of my school paper, WSU’s The Daily Evergreen, when a dude — a good guy overall, mind you — named TJ was Editor-in-Chief; I wouldn’t mention his name but, in retrospect, he took that mistake out on me Tenfold when I was EiC. His favorite saying was, “This [insert any number of "scandals"] is the biggest controversy in the HISTORY of the Evergreen,” always within earshot of a dozen people working for me at the time. Really Teej? In retrospect that was pretty transparent, the brazen attempt to rewrite history.), then Conan, then … whatever the third late-night show was then (Rick Dees? Pat Sajak? Ugh, can’t remember), and … then I’d just sit there, unable to even imagine a normal, buttoned-down sleep pattern.
What’s the Coolio, y’all? (SEE? I’m tired enough to reference Coolio when everyone knows “dealio” would have been more apt.) I’m hurtin’ …
