I’m so sorry everyone, just as I’m starting to pick up a teeny little following here I’m forced to drop the ball for a few days …
But it’ll be worth it; you’ll see … YOU’LL SEE! I’ve got a huge announcement/unveiling (hint: think Tonstartssbandht, Locrian and Manual Zombie) coming that will hopefully explain some of my kookiness, as I’ve recently become even more sucked-in to the world of recorded music.
Stick with me homey and don’t forget to chew on these great Daniel Striped Tiger downloads. Also read a review of their 2005-released full length, originally published in Skyscraper Magazine (RIP), below:

The beauty of underground music is that there’s so much quality material just waiting for the right person to stumble upon it, or read about it in a mag (natch!), or hear it at a party, search all corners of the earth for it only to find it’s out of print and harder to find than a pastry that cures cancer. Daniel Striped Tiger are not going to appeal to the masses, but their jagged darts of energy and sudden mood changes weren’t meant to please John Q. Dudeman in the first place. Their mix is too muddy, their style too arty, their lapses too lengthy. Flip to any track at random and you’ll find yourself privy to many challenges that take time to fully absorb, challenges that only the ready and randy dare tackle. Ambitious Career Woman fans, I’m turning a glaring eye at you; same goes for devotees of The Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower, Tora! Tora! Torrance!, Hot Cross, The WPP and the earlier bands that influenced them. Keeping their arrangements busy and their guitars muddy, DST use their shouted vocals to punctuate rather than actuate their product, the proof being that instrumental breakdowns tunnel in and out of Condition like termites chewing a nice hunk of beechwood. Wonderfully adept at pacing their songs for the ultimate impact, the quartet blend blatancy with subtlety, adroitly dropping the bottom out of their songs without regard to what the listener might expect or even want. Which is, somehow, totally and completely desirable. (Grant Purdum)
