This review musta happened during one of my blackouts. It’s crazy; I can’t remember where a lot of the asides even came from.
Also, as you’ll read, I’m a big Under Byen supporter. Um, yeah, that’s all I have to say about this one, I guess, but make sure you check out the MP3s above because I think YOU’ll like them too.
What’s not to like? Imaginative instrumentation, nook-/cranny-filled songs, gorgeous vocals … I just don’t see the point in rebelling against such lovely indie-rock. The true tragedy of serving as a liason between bands like Under Byen and the public is watching helplessly as they absolutely KRANK out new material to little acclaim.
Critic love can only get you so far, mind you. Alas, such is life; read the linked review above and taste the sweetness (though I actually find this review to be a bit halting for my tastes; sometimes I pack a little too much density into these things).
