I just got the chills watching this brand-new video of Wye Oak, featuring Jonathan Meiburg — of “should be HUGE according to every music journalist save possibly Gumshoe” band Shearwater — cover The Kinks‘ “Strangers” so I figured I’d share.
And I’ve tried to cover this song myself; it’s not as easy as it seems (and most Kinks songs ARE that easy). The Darjeeling Limited would not have been the same movie without this song.
And yes, I liked The Darjeeling Limited. Did you even watch the damn thing before you slammed it (yeah, YOU)?
