I gotta stop taking on these big-name assignments. It adds up to nothing but stress and sweat on my end, and rarely ends with more than a random e-mail attack being thrown my way.
Vampire Weekend‘s Contra wasn’t even supposed to be mine to review. You know how it goes; people think they wanna step up to review VW and realize it’s a pretty in-depth thing to have to do.
But you know what? I embrace the opportunity to tell the world the latest record from Vampire Weekend, Grizzly Bear and The Smashing Pumpkins because hey, someone’s gotta, right?
