Look, I know it’s late (early?) but sometimes the good shit just can’t wait. This new Animal Collective — you know, Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Deakin, Geologist — video, filmed God-knows-when by God-knows-whom, just blows my fucking mind.
It’s like every lysergic puppet show I’ve watched combined with every long road trip I’ve taken, every flower garden I’ve traipsed through and every peep-show booth I’ve NOT glanced into.
I didn’t exactly see this coming; “In the Flowers” isn’t the sort of song that demands a video. Still, I’m glad they endeavored to bring this to us, as it is a fine addition to their respectable canon.
