The ONE upside to the end-of-the-month shutdown of Finest Records in Fort Collins, Colo., is the huge closing sale they’re having, during which I’ve already made some colossal finds, including the

"Purple Rain" 12-inch single
following:
- Love As Laughter – “Destination 2000″
- Gary Wilson – “
- Prince – “Purple Rain” [special edition on purple vinyl]
- 100 Flowers – “Drawing Flowers”
- Flesh For Lulu – “Decline and Fall”
If you don’t know a few of these groups I understand, but even a total indie plebe at least knows of Gary Wilson and Love As Laughter, the former a quirky basement-soul one-man-band and the latter an underground rock mainstay in the ’90s.
Did I mention I got all of these titles, excluding the Prince LP at $9, for 25 cents apiece? Jesus Christ, I feel like a highway robbery just took place.
Anyway, the rest of this week is going to be hectic but I’ve got SO MUCH to tell you about. Stay tuned for a ton of reviews this week and some special surprises!!!
